Day 17: Safe Water

In our homes, we have all the clean water we need. Worldwide, 1.8 billion people use a drinking-water source contaminated with feces. Such water can transmit illnesses, including cholera, typhoid, diarrhea, dysentery and even polio.

The Journey Prayer Guide: Safe Water

Contaminated drinking water causes more than 500,000 diarrheal deaths each year. Pray for healing among children sickened by contaminated water.

Pray that God will inspire Christians to donate time or money to building improved water sources.

Ask God to increase children’s access to safe drinking water and water treatment facilities.

Has this helped you commit to pray for children to have safe water?
